Commission of the Truth in San Pedro Sula bombed

The Committee of the Families of Detained and Disappeared of Honduras informs the national and international community that at 2:10 pm this afternoon, the office of the COMMISSION OF TRUTH in San Pedro Sula was attacked when an explosive artifact was thrown onto the roof, opening a hole in it. The regional Coordinator of this office for the Commission of Truth is the attorney Brenda Mejía, who participated the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights hearings on March 25th, with the Lawyers in Resistance, on the issue of “Criminalization of Social Protest”.

The Coordinator and two international accompaniments from Canada were present in the offices at the time of the attack.
